It's going to be an intense ride on Bates Motel as Norman lets go of real life and lives his own bizarre fantasy world.

Norman Gets Turned On By His Mother's Dress In Previous Scene From 'Bates Motel'

On Tuesday, Entertainment Weekly shared an interview with Freddie Highmore (Norman) on the big moment of Monday's episode when he finally turned into his mother- Norman is now wearing his mom's clothes and speaking in a higher tone giving plenty of insight on the Psycho killer that audiences know and love.

As the madman continues with this odd behavior, Highmore pointed out that this will likely be the start of more craziness to follow.

Norman Will 'Manipulate' His Mother On 'Bates Motel'

"I think it's the beginning of the end," the actor said. "I've always seen season 3 as the real turning point where, by the end of it, Norman is much closer to the Norman Bates of Psycho than to the Norman that we set up at the beginning of Bates Motel. I think this episode is pivotal in showing us how Norman will start to live much more in fiction as opposed to reality."

The character might feel pretty happy going on with his life this way, but it will likely cause damage on others.

"He's quite happy to wander around the kitchen and pop blackberries into his mouth," Highmore said. "But he's very much living in his fantasy world, and similarly in the basement where he imagines his taxidermy coming to life. It's the start of that [fantasy] for Norman."

Bates Motel airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.
