With production for the second film installment for Fifty Shades of Grey finally underway, new rumors suggest that the cast could be growing.

'Fifty Shades of Grey' New 'Darker' Sequel Will Reportedly Begin Production Soon

After a lot of tension between author E. L. James and Universal execs, it has finally been confirmed that the two parties have set aside their differences and reached a deal and apparently casting for the new film has already been finalized.

Hopefully New Girl actor Max Greenfield made the cut because the actor recently sat down with US Weekly and he's hoping he gets a part in the Fifty Shades Darker sequel.

Cara Delevingne Reportedly Set To Star In 'Fifty Shades Darker' Sequel

The actor jokingly told the publication, "You know, I'm just looking to get into that Fifty Shades of GreyMaybe I could be the 51st Shade? I don't know, that's definitely a move I'm looking to make."

Greenfield may not be the only new actor joining the film because new rumors online suggest that runway model Cara Delevingne could be joining the cast for the second installment.

On Thursday Capital FM reported that Delevingne could be playing a sexy role tied to Jamie Dornan's character billionaire businessman Christian Grey.

"Cara is wowing in her performance in 'Pan' with Hugh Jackman, and E.L. James loves the idea of her as a name being in the next movie," a source told the Daily Star last week.

It's unsure how true the rumors are, but fans of the film will definitely get more details soon.

Actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have been told to plan on an early 2016 shoot for a 2017 release. Universal has yet to announce an official release date for the new film, so be sure to check in for more updates on the cast and the film.
