Teen Wolf's first season 5 promo appeared to show viewers a very familiar face but, alas, our eyes are merely playing tricks on themselves.

For a moment, it looked as if Daniel Sharman's Isaac Lahey was back in Beacon Hills. As the town's newest villains took turns torturing members of Scott McCall's pack in the season's first teaser, one of the final shots seemed to show the curly haired Brit in mortal danger. Unfortunately, E! Online has confirmed that the quick snippet was not the wayward werewolf.

That doesn't mean a possible (and momentary) return is off the table for Sharman's character. An old cast member will make an appearance in the premiere, but MTV still has those details under lock and key.

"We're always trying to find ways to bring faces back, so you'll see a surprise in episode 1 actually, but I don't want to give away too much," series creator Jeff Davis teased at Paley Fest, according to Seat42F.

Considering how many characters have left Beacon Hills over the years - a smart move on their part, that town is trouble - we'll leave the upcoming guest spot to your imagination.
