The Blacklist won't make fans wait through the long summer hiatus to catch up with Liz, Red, and the rest of the crew.

Instead, the NBC drama will use the warmer months to launch The Blacklist's first comic series. Bearing the Titan Comics banner, Red Reddington's upcoming foray into the world of speech bubbles and splash pages will be delivered on a six-piece monthly installment starting this July.

In conjunction with the scheming minds behind the on-screen story, Nicole Phillips will pen the new venture while Beni Lobel will illustrate.

The comics will be "a true extension of the television series, promising a glimpse at new dimensions of the characters that have captured the audiences worldwide," The Hollywood Reporter stated.

In the meantime, viewers can catch The Blacklist Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. The series took a brief hiatus during April but the master criminal and the FBI's keen profiler will return to their regular timeslot on April 23 with "Leonard Caul."
