It's time for Transformers 4: Age of Extinction to bow out in the Chinese market as a fierce new competitor has entered the arena.

Original Cast To Return In Transformers 5?

According to an Los Angeles Times report, Furious 7 is poised to trump the record set by Age of Extinction in the country. This, despite the fact that a good part of Age of Extinction was shot in China, and additionally endeared the movie to audiences.

The report guages this possibility by the fact that Furious 7 raked in $61.3 million on the first day of its opening in China, which is more than double the earnings of Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Furious 8 To Be Set In New York City? 

The figure that Furious 7 will eventually have to trump to be the all-round winner would $305.9 million, the record set by Age of Extinction, the most a movie has ever made in the country.

In the domestic market, Furious 7 has already shaked up the box office. The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the movie had already surpassed the total international earnings of its predecessor, Fast and Furious 6. The report predicts that the movie would cross the total earnings of the sixth instalment this week.

Furious 7 has managed to rake in $200 million dollars in a matter of eight days. According to reports Furious 7 pulled in $19.01 million on April 10, summing up the spoils at $210.7 million in eight days. The increment was chalked up to 44% when compared with the previous eight-day record of $146.5 million.

 Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
