After former NFL star Aaron Hernandez was found guilty for the murder of Odin Lloyd and charged for possession of firearms and ammunition, judge Susan E. Garsh sentenced the defendant to 25 years to life in prison.

Aaron Hernandez Found Guilty of First Degree Murder

While the murder case for Hernandez may be over, it looks like the defense team is gearing up to fight two separate murder cases and allegedly the former Patriots player is preparing to appeal his conviction.

On Wednesday, CNN reported that Hernandez could possibly face three more trials, one criminal and two civil actions.

As previously reported, Hernandez was allegedly involved in another double homicide that took place in 2012 near a Boston nightclub.

Prosecutors believe that the defendant fatally shot Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado when he shot into their 2003 BMW. Another passenger in the vehicle was wounded and two others were uninjured.

According to the site Hernandez is also being sued by a man named Alexander Bradley, who claims the former athlete shot him while the two men were in a limousine back in February of 2013.

Bradley says that Hernandez wounded him during a fight at a Miami strip club and filed a suit against him four months later.

While the details surrounding Hernandez's appeal have yet to be shared, it has been confirmed that the Hernandez will spend his life sentence at MCI Cedar Junction, just three miles away from the Gillette Stadium.
