It's official, Rookie Blue is returning to the small screen this summer.

ABC's Entertainment President On Future Of 'Rookie Blue' 'Hoping We Continue For A Long Time'

After not hearing word about the ABC show for some time, the series has been given an official release date for Canada (Thursday May 21 at 9PM on Global TV) and the United States (Thursday June 25 at 10/9c).

Some American viewers are still a little awry about the show coming on first in Canada as it could bring lots of spoilers, but the show will surely have enough drama to keep them satisfied.

Marlo's Pregnancy Could Come Between Sam & Andy's Relationship

A press release for the upcoming sixth season reads, "Last season the officers at 15 Division unearthed their sins of the past - dug through it, aired it out, and paved the way to move forward. They have all grown and are more resilient than ever. This season, they will have to learn to embrace living in the gray areas, because life is complicated and the best laid plans are just that. But sometimes it's the unpredictable things life throws our way that turn out to be exactly what we need. "

There were certainly lots of unanswered questions that will hopefully be resolved this season. For example, Marlo's (Rachael Ancheril) return and the fact that she could be pregnant could definitely throw a monkey wrench into Sam (Ben Bass) and Andy's (Missy Peregrym) romance (that they finally just got on track).

Still, the full cast is set to return as all of them are pictured in the promo picture released.
