There's been a lot of suspicion concerning Jake's (Billy Miller) wife (Rebecca Budig) disappearing after months of keeping away, and the truth concerning her could finally be revealed on General Hospital.

Nikolas Seeks Answers From Hayden

Jake (really Jason) does not have a wife named Hayden from Beecher's Corners, and she is in fact someone Ric (Rick Hearst) hired to keep Jake away from Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). And though Jake and Liz are both operating on the assumption that Hayden is in fact married to Jake, Carly (Laura Wright) has been extremely suspicious--and she is hoping to enlist Spinelli's (Bradford Anderson) services so she can figure out the truth.

"Jake's wife showing up out of the blue after all of these months?" she says in a preview clip for the Friday, April 17 episode. "I don't buy it."

However, she may not need to investigate for long, because a part of Ric's scheme involved hiring a Jake look-a-like to pose with Hayden for fake wedding pictures--and that guy is now threatening to expose the truth if Ric doesn't keep funneling money in his direction,

"What's the matter Ricky, surprised to see me?" he asks in the clip.

Of course, Hayden herself could wind up ruining the whole plot, as she has since become extremely attracted to Nikolas (Tyler Christopher), who she slept with when he confronted her about the secret. And now, the two can barely keep their hands off of one another, and eve begin making out in the middle of the Metro Court--risking that they'll be caught.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
