The episode of Grey's Anatomy that aired this week pulled at all emotions as Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and the other medical staff members of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital dealt with patients from a small car crash.

Would Kate Walsh Ever Return To 'Grey's Anatomy'?

One Flight Down brought back a lot of bad memories for Meredith since she was in a car crash during the Season 8 finale and with her husband Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) missing, she felt extremely unsettled and worried.

During the episode, Meredith experienced a lot of flashbacks of Derek, including ones from the crash they were in, among other ones that were of happier times.

Once Meredith got home and 5 p.m. rolled around she was ready to call for help since Derek remained missing, but a cop car pulled up in front of her home with its lights flashing, which she noticed reflecting through the window.

Will the arrival of this cop car have something to do with Derek's whereabouts? That remains unknown, but the promo that is below for next week's episode called How to Save a Life shows Derek helping people in a car accident.

The press release revealed that the car accident is "horrible" and Derek will "save lives."

In the promo, he is seen telling an injured individual from the car accident, "I don't let people die."

The car from the crash even looks like it explodes into a fiery mess, but by the looks of it Derek does manage to get everyone involved far away from it before the explosion happens.

Also in the promo, Meredith appears to continue to freak out about his whereabouts, but maybe they'll finally reunite.

The Grey's Anatomy Twitter claimed this upcoming episode is one you "will never forget."

Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
