On Wednesday, TV Line learned that Italian-born actor Giacomo Gianniotti has been tapped for a possible recurring role on the medical drama.

Gianniotti is probably most know for his role of royalty on Season 1 of The CW's Reign where he portrayed Lord Julien. The catch is he was really the secretary named Remy to the real Lord Julien, but conned everyone into believing he was in fact the royal.

An ABC representative confirmed to the site that the Italian actor will appear on Grey's Anatomy in the future, but would not disclose any details about the character he will portray.

The actor has previously appeared on ABC's short-lived comedy Selfie so joining another ABC series should be a breeze.

Gianniotti is incredibly attractive so perhaps he will be a love interest on Grey's Anatomy since it does seem as though many of the characters especially the female characters are looking for love. Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) could potentially use a new love interest since things with Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) are not looking good.

The possibilities for characters are endless in who Gianniotti can be portraying given his diverse acting background.

Gianniotti even teased fans on his Facebook on Thursday with the news, saying, "SHHHHHHHHH! It's top secret!"

Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
