Amanda Todd Cyber Bully Identified by Anonymous After Suicide: Man on 'Sexual Interference' Charges?

The man who bullied and stalked 15 year old Amanda Todd and drove her to suicide has been tracked down and revealed by hacktivist group Anonymous.

The story of Amanda Todd has captured the nation’s attention after the young teenage girl committed suicide after suffering from depression and anxiety after following being cyber stalked and bullied by an anonymous man.

It has been alleged that Amanda was taking part in some online interactive forum when the person convinced her to flash her breasts at the web cam. However, once she did so the man at the other end used the photo to bride, bully and make her life hell.

Anonymous hackers claim to have found the identity of the man and have named him as a 30 year old from New Westminster, British Columbia. The hacker group posted a message on Pastebin.com where it alleges the man “extorted Amanda Todd for pictures. This is a pedophile that social engineered Amanda Todd into supplying him nude pictures.”

The posting also reveals the 30 year old’s address. Other information about the alleged bully has also found its way online in recent days, including a Google Map screenshot of the man’s house, as well as his Facebook profile, and postings of his private chat conversations.

An email sent by Anonymous to CTV News stated, “We generally don’t like to deal with police first hand but were compelled to put our skills to good use protecting kids. Ironically we have some good people in Vancouver who brought this to our admin’s attention. It’s a very sad story that affects all of us.”

CTV has reported that the man identified by Anonymous has also appeared in court on Monday charged with a completely different incident involving sexual assault and sexual interference with a minor.

Amanda committed suicide last Wednesday after posting a YouTube video in September detailing her torment and the extent of bullying and harassment she had been enduring.

It all began when she was in seventh grade after she was convinced to flash a man online, thinking it was all a bit of fun. However, the man then tracked her down on Facebook, and forwarded her topless photos to everyone she knew at school. She was later bullied at school, was beaten up, and had previously tried to commit suicide by drinking bleach.

She had attempted to move schools a number of times to start a fresh and get away from the taunts but each time the man managed to track her down and make her life hell by sending messages about her to those who knew her.
