A life of the loved one of one of the BAU's members will be on the line in the season 10 finale of Criminal Minds.

"People Are Going To Lose Their Minds" With Episode 21 Of Criminal Minds

The stakes will be much higher as there will be personal emotions involved. Speaking about the last two episodes with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Erica Messer revealed a bit about how things will go down in the concluding episodes of the show.

"By the end of episode 22, we do a mini cliffhanger in that we know that Meg and her best friend are being kidnapped by the guy we saw in the premiere," Messer said. "[The finale] is our team fighting for one of our own to get her loved one back.

Messer did reveal similar details in a previous interview with Zap2it, but she did not state that one of the BAU members' dear one's would be stuck in the mess.

The most interesting bit of information was that the finale will actually tie in with the premiere on the show, by bringing back the criminal from the first episode.

"We will bring back the creepy, Internet stalker guy from the premiere. That story will be tied together," Messer said.

Also, fans can be assured of the fact that there would be "no major deaths" in the concluding bit.

The finale will also be pretty intense for Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Messer revealed. "It will be a very heavy episode for Kate," she said.

In the latest episode of Criminal Minds, Hotch (Thomas Gibson) dealt with some of his personal mess, confronting his father-in-law, Roy, played by Ed Asner, about his wife's death.

The next episode will air on April 22 on CBS.
