The Young and the Restless family came together Saturday morning to join in on the efforts of non-profit organization Friends of the Los Angeles River.

The Young and the Restless cast members Lachlan Buchanan, Camryn Grimes, Greg Rikaartn were joined by the soap's associate producer Jimmy Freeman and interior set designer Kyle Schuneman, in which they helped clean up trash that is left by careless individuals in and along the river.

Rikaart shared his excitement Friday about their Saturday morning plans on Twitter, noting he was "super pumped" to partake in cleaning up the L.A. River with his daytime TV family.

Buchanan echoed his message by telling his Twitter followers, "Yeah join us!"

On Saturday the Australian actor revealed it was a "lovely morning cleaning up" the river.

The Young and the Restless Twitter shared a photo of Grimes and Rikaart taking a break to pose before returning to their duties of cleaning.

The soap's Twitter also shared the photo that's above of Grimes and Rikaart with Buchanan. It noted it's important not to litter.

Freeman shared a group shot of the three cast members with him and Schuneman.

Rikaart shared the same photo on his Instagram while urging people who smoke to "STOP throwing" cigarette butts out of their car windows.

He also left the items that Freeman shared were pulled out of the river, including multiple shopping carts, a CD, a Barbie doll and more.

Grimes shared a group shot too and urged people to "recycle & cut down your use of plastic bags!"
