Ewan McGregor is joining the cast of the live-action Beauty and the Beast film.

On Tuesday, The Hollywood Reporter announced that the actor will be playing Lumiere, the talking candelabra in the classic tale hitting theaters in 2017. Lumiere is known with the classy accent who sings "Be Our Guest" and McGregor is coming aboard with a number of other popular stars.

Some other actors who will be in the upcoming re-made tale include Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Audra McDonald (Garderobe), Dan Stevens (Beast) and Ian McKellen (Cogsworth). Emma Watson will be playing the title role of Belle.

McGregor is known for a number of big films such as Stars Wars: Episode I, II and III, Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge! where he showed that he has talented singing abilities.

Beauty and the Beast will take on the story of Belle who agrees to be a beast's prisoner is his castle to let her father have his freedom. As she's held captive, she develops a relationship with the creature that may turn him into the love of her life.

Watson, who's known for playing the adventurous Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter flicks, has been vocal on her views of feminism. As she gave a speech for the 'HeForShe' campaign, the actress discussed feminism and how she realized that she was one.

"When at 14 I started being sexualized by certain elements of the press," Watson said, posted on UN Women. "When at 15 my girlfriends started dropping out of their sports teams because they didn't want to appear 'muscly.' When at 18 my male friends were unable to express their feelings. I decided I was a feminist and this seemed uncomplicated to me."

Beauty and the Beast is expected to hit theaters on March 17, 2017.
