On Tuesday, the model explained to Vogue how growing up was especially while attempting to restrain herself from acting feminine to prevent bullying at school.

"I wanted to stop puberty in its early tracks," Pejic revealed, adding, "I was worried about my feet being too big, my hands being too big, my jawline being too strong."

Just last year, Pejic underwent gender-confirmation surgery, which was formerly known as gender-reassignment surgery, to transition into being a female.

"Society doesn't tell you that you can be trans," she said, adding, "I thought about being gay, but it didn't fit..."

She tried to be "normal" and "a boy," but it didn't feel right.

In society "there are just more categories now," the model shared, adding, "It's good. We're finally figuring out that gender and sexuality are more complicated."

On Tuesday, the model shared on Instagram a photo of her profile and her overwhelming emotions.
