Flavor Flav has gotten into trouble.

53-year-old William Drayton Jr., better known as Flavor Flav, was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Wednesday for alleged battery and assaulting his fiancé with a deadly weapon.

According to a statement by Las Vegas police, Liz Trujillo, fiancée of Flavor Flav, called the cops on the rapper after he became violent and threatened her teenage son with a knife.

The fight took place around 3:30 a.m Wednesday morning when the call was placed to emergency services.

"The caller advised she had been involved in a physical altercation with her fiancée, who was identified as William Drayton," the police stated.

The rapper allegedly hit his fiancée and pulled a knife on her 17-year-old son, according to Gawker.

Flavor Flav was taken into custody at the Clark County Detention Center and charged with battery misdemeanor domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently being held on a $23,000 bond, according to the Washington Post.

Flavor Flav rose to fame in the 1980's as the hype man for the rap group Public Enemy which performed political oriented songs such as "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back."

His loud personality and love of wearing giant clocks and Viking helmets has garnered him reality television shows and a Comedy Central roast. One of his shows, "Flavor of Love", featured the rapper in his quest to find romance.

Flavor Flav also developed a relationship with "Red Sonja" actress Brigitte Nielsen on the VH1 reality show "The Surreal Life." Their weird relationship spawned a show chronicling their life together which was aptly titled "Strange Love."

The rapper has attempted to run a chicken restaurant called Flav's Fried Chicken which closed shortly after it was opened in Iowa. He also opened Flavor Flav's House of Flavor in Las Vegas but closed six months after opening in March 2012.
