Details surrounding the Fifty Shades of Grey movie sequels continue to take over the Internet and new rumors claim that author E.L. James' husband is reportedly serving as the screenwriter for the films next two sequels.

'Fifty Shades' Producers Looking To Cast New Actress For The Role Of Elena

On Wednesday The Hollywood Reporter announced that a source close to film's production team told the site that Niall Leonard, who is married and has two sons with the author, is an actor and screenwriter and is said to be writing the script for the Darker and Freed sequels.

According the site, "He's written for the British TV shows Air Force One Is Down and Wire in the Blood, among others. He's also the author of the Crusher book series. He also worked on the script for the first Fifty Shades but was not credited."

Fifty Shades producer Michael De Luca recently sat down with the site and said that Leonard will definitely be a great asset to the team.

It was recently reported that Kelly Marcel, the films first screenwriter, wouldn't be returning for the sequel after an ongoing feud between James and former Fifty Shades film director Sam Taylor Johnson.

Due to the changes within the team, production for the new sequel underwent a series of delays, however it looks like things are picking up and production is finally underway.

Venture Capital Post recently pointed out that Universal execs have finally reached a deal with James and the team is now looking to finalize the casting details.

Actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have been told to plan on an early 2016 shoot for a 2017 release however no official release date has been announced.
