Variety reported from the event, and stated that Diesel, who is also a producer on the film, got all teary-eyed while addressing the audience of theater owners. "It means a lot to me to get your blessing," he said.

Remembering Paul Walker, and their last appearance at ComicCon two years ago, Diesel recalled how he felt then.

Furious 7 Should Win Best Oscar, According To Vin Diesel

"We were giddy and excited," he said. "You all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love."

Most recently, Diesel and Dwayne Johson spoke about the sequel to Furious 7 in an interview with MTV.

Diesel stated that Paul Walker was certain of a sequel for Furious 7.

"Paul used to say that ['Fast & Furious'] 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass," Diesel said.

He went on to place Walker in the next project beautifully stating that next film will be "from" him.

"So, if fate has it - fate, F8 - then you'll get it. 'Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.'"

Meanwhile, Johnson dished about his possible return as Detective Hobbs in Fast and Furious 8. "I talked to Vin today - we had a nice discussion - and I think whatever it is, whatever we come up with for 'Furious 8,' we have to raise the bar, in terms of action, yes, but also in terms of story and character," he said.

Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto in the franchise, recently spoke to Jimmy Kimmel as a guest on his late night show about Furious 7 and as he shared his vision for the films, Uproxx revealed that he suggested that he was really brought in for "a story that follows this that takes place in New York."
