An Oakland, California pet adoption agency is getting creative on social media with an adorable "Uptown Funk" parody featuring adoptable dogs.

The East Bay SPCA released the adorab;e video on Tuesday to help promote the adoption of shelter dogs. The Uptown Funk song was turned into Oaktown Pups.

The video also featured a gentle reminder to spay and neuter pets in their efforts to prevent more pups from landing in similar centers.

On Twitter, screenshots of the video have been posted with the hashtag #oaktownpup from supporters of the cause.

Lots of Twitter users are tweeting in support of the pups with things like, "Smiling tears" and "Great video."

"We've had more than 150k views of our #OakTownPups video in just three days! From Tokyo to Brussels," the shelter wrote on Twitter. At the time of publishing, the video has received over 600,000 views.

On their website, the shelter claims they are committed to the welfare of cats and dogs within their communities. They also claim that they "strive to eliminate animal cruelty, neglect and overpopulations by providing programs and education that support people and companion animals."

The organization was founded in 1874 to help ensure the humane treatment of horses, mules and other draft animals.

The first shelter for the organization was established in downtyown Oakland in 1922.
