'Daily Show:' Jon Stewart Jokes With President Obama, 'Fifty Shades Of Grey,' (VIDEOS)
With the presidential election only three weeks away, President Obama made a stop on the "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Thursday, Oct.18.
Stewart entertained his guest with a series of jokes about the president's wife and his Vice President Joe Biden. The 49-year-old also made sure to address serious topics for show viewers, including the terrorist attack in Libya.
When Obama arrived on set, he immediately thanked the audience that was full of female veterans for their service. The president then turned to Stewart and joked, "They're going to mess with you if you mess with me."
Stewart playfully asked Obama how often Vice President Biden attends meetings in a wet bathing suit.
"We had to stop that," joked the president. "I gotta say, though, he looks pretty good."
Stewart then held up two photographs of the president's wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, greeting her husband after each debate. In one photograph she looks upset; in another she looks happy. Stewart then asked Obama is he could guess which photograph was from each debate. The joke was a reference to the polls that suggested the president was a disappointment in the first presidential debate.
"That's cute," Obama replied, then laughed.
Later, when Stewart started a chat about the administration's changes to the wiretapping program, Obama told Stewart, "They aren't sexy issues."
"You don't know what I find sexy," Stewart replied. The president then teased Stewart for reading a popular novel - he referenced an earlier segment in which Stewart talked about the erotic bestseller "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"I saw you flash that Shades of Grey thing," the president said. "I know what you've been reading!"
The comedy talk show has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series for 10 years consecutively from 2003 to 2012.The "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" airs Mondays through Thursdays at 11/10C on Comedy Central.
