Both the highest and lowest viewed remaining soap operas took home the Best Drama Series honors at the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, with a tie giving wins to both CBS' The Young and the Restless and NBC's Days of Our Lives.

The two soaps won the award for Best Drama Series during the April 26 live telecast, which marks the second year in a row that Y&R won the award. Other big wins of the night went to ABC's General Hospital, which took home the two lead acting awards, as well as CBS' other Daytime drama series, The Bold and the Beautiful, which won for both writing and direction.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to actress Betty White at the ceremony as well.
