A-Rod tried picking up Australian model Kyna Treacy at a recent New York Yankees game and apparently it worked: a friend close to the model said the two went on a late-night date.

Rodriguez denied flirting with Treacy and her friend, Katie Quinn, during Game 1 of the American League Championship Series at Yankee Stadium last Saturday night, in which New York lost 6-4. However, a friend close to Treacy said the Yankees player called the model after the game and took her out on a date.

" I think she was pleasantly taken aback by the whole thing," Treacy's friend told Sydney's Telegraph

Treacy and Quinn recently had an interview with Inside Edition where she revealed secrets about that night at the Yankees game and A-Rod's attempt to court her. However, she made no mention of the date between the two, perhaps trying to keep it as private as ever amidst reports that A-Rod was better at flirting then playing in Saturday's game.

"Rodriguez's attitude reflects poorly on the culture of the Yankees. After getting swept in the ALCS, A-Rod should have played his last game in pinstripes," The Bleacher Report stated. "It's time for New York to unload Rodriguez, regardless of the cost."

In their Inside Edition interview, Treacy stated that Rodriguez tried to get the attention of the girl's by throwing them a baseball in the stands. On the ball it said, "Hope you're enjoying the game. Would you please write down your numbers?"

"We thought it was a joke. We were like, 'Does this normally happen?' " Quinn said.

During their interview, Quinn and Treacy also admitted that Rodriguez was not the only player that night trying to get their numbers.
