The tragedy in Nepal continues with the news that Saturday's massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake near Katmandu has killed more than 4,000 people.

According to USA Today, that number could continue to climb as officials continue to search among the rubble in the capital city and remote surrounding mountain villages, which have had relief efforts severely delayed due to landslides and avalanches (including one on Mount Everest) that have blocked the roads and trails into the villages, trapping several people.

There are several ways to join the relief efforts in the country, with several organizations sending money, resources and other means of help to the area, all of which you can be a part of as well.

Organizations you can help with their efforts include:

1. Save The Children: According to TIME, donations will help send 24-emergency specialists, including a medical team, to the region.

2. Red Cross: In addition to an initial planned $300,000 in aid, they will be sending 19,000 non-food relief kits including clothes, kitchen sets, tarpaulins and mosquito nets.

3. Global Giving: They have pledged to send $1,000,000 in relief efforts. You can also send a $10 donation via text, be sending GIVE NEPAL to 80088

4. Unicef: They will provide supplies like water purification tablets, hygiene kits, tarps and nutririon supplemets to children and families affected by the earthquake.

5. PayPal: The online financial service as set up a disaster relief campaign with international aid organizations working directly and through local partners to provide relief. They will cover all costs associated with donations received through the site, and will refund transaction fees to qualified nonprofits participating in relief efforts.

6. Habitat for Humanity: The group is coordinating efforts with local agencies and disaster relief partners and is going to assemble emergency shelter kits.
