Rick Confronts 'Old Wounds' In 'Castle' Season 7 Finale

ABC has released a sneak peek for Monday night's episode, which is titled In Plane Sight. The clip features Castle on a plane with his daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn).

The clip begins with Castle wondering why the flight attendants are not smiling just as the plane hits a bit of turbulence. While the pilot assures the people that everything is going to be alright, Castle isn't so sure.

"Why aren't they smiling?" Castle asks Alexis. "Something is not right. I'm going to find out what."

When Castle approaches the flight attendants, he is very persistent in his questioning.

You're not smiling, none of you are smiling. What's going on, is there some kind of mechanical problem?" Castle asks.

The attendants do not necessarily give a good excuse, with one of them turning to the pilot and saying, "maybe he can help."

"Mr. Castle, I'm Captain Edmonds," the pilot says, "We could actually use your assistance."

After he questions why, she brings up a photo on her phone and reveals, "this is Kyle Ford, he's the air marshal on our flight."

Castle recognizes him as the man sitting across from him, but when he looks back, he notices that he is now gone.

Captain Edmonds explains, "Mr. Ford is missing, "Right now with the air marshal uncounted for, you're the closest thing we have to law enforcement on this plane."

"Which in itself is cause for concern!" Castle quips.

As the press release for this episode reveals, the air marshal is eventually found dead on the plane and Castle must solve the murder with the help of Beckett (Stana Katic), who is obviously on the ground.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
