Jennifer Love Hewitt's character in Criminal Minds season 10 will have a lot going on in the finale and we wonder if she will return for the next chapter.

Mr. Scratch In Criminal Minds Inspired By Nosferatu?

In an interview with Zap2it, showrunner Erica Messer had revealed that the finale will be a "heavy episode" for Kate. The report went on to state that everything would come full circle for her in the episode. Additionally Hewitt's pregnancy had been worked into the show. Hewitt was definitely a major draw in this season, but could things coming full circle for her character mean the producers found a neat way to tie up her story and conclude her character arc on the show?

Hewitt might like to take a year off to be with her newborn child, and might want to take a break from working. There has been no news about which cast members are renewing their contracts for season 11, and it will be a while before there is an official word on if Hewitt is set to come back.

The BAU Will Be Fighing For 'One Of Their Own' In Finale

But it seems like season 11 is definitely on the cards. In another recent interview, Messer did let it slip that they were looking to the next chapter.

The preview for the next episode, which precedes the finale and is titled 'Protection' doesn't give away many character spoilers, but does show a crazed psychopath, who is going to make for the BAU's next case. "He's what we call a moral enforcer," says Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) of the criminal. "Now anyone can be a target to him," he adds.

The next episode of Criminal Minds will air on April 29 on CBS.
