Now that Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles has moved on with her new husband Richard Lawson, he's opened up about how close he is with Queen Bey and her husband Jay Z.

"We couldn't be tighter. My family, their family, we're one," he {surprisingly) told TMZ Thursday. "It really is a blessing. I'm really grateful for the fact that it's a united family."

Lawson, whose daughter Bianca Lawson starred in ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars as Mya, showed just how close his family is with the Carters when he plugged Jay Z's new music streaming service Tidal.

"Everybody out there buy Tidal. It's the new thing, but it's the right thing. Now the musicians will keep the money. People who create the music will keep the money. That's the important thing."

He went on to point out he's enjoying the married life.

"That's the fun thing though isn't it. Everything else will build on that. Beautiful thing."

As far as how he and Tina even met to begin with, he made it clear they're not new friends.

"Man we've been knowing each other for 33 years. We've been like family. So..."

Mama Tina had all of the guests wear white to the the yacht ceremony. Beyonce shared photos from the event on her personal website. In one Tina and Lawson gaze into one another's eyes while Beyonce and Jay 's three-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter admired the seven-layer cake in another snapshot.
