He was given a new assignment by his boss to complete a third shocking expose article on another Salem resident, but Will (Guy Wilson) will run into some major problems as he tries interviewing Clyde (James Read) on Days of Our Lives.

Ben Asks For Clyde's Help

HIs previous articles on his own mother and baseball great Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) were knockout successes, though the second article shredded his marriage into pieces. Now, Will has been given his next assignment, Clyde, with the orders of finding something good on him as well. But when he meets up with Clyde to tell him about the article he is working on, he will receive some shocking hostility and resistance--and a big warning about proceeding without Clyde's permission.

Clyde will warn Will not to go through with the article, and will use his creepy kind of charm to try and convince the writer that it's in his best interest not to dig around--but Will most likely will remain determined that he needs to do this--if only because it will help him get more favor with his editor, who can give him more access to digging up even more dirt on Paul that will help obliterate him from Sonny's (Freddie Smith) life for good.

Ben's Legal Woes Take A Surprising Turn

Clyde of course has his own motivations to make sure Will doesn't dig in and find out things that he wants to keep hidden. Not only is he a crook who uses intimidation techniques and sneaky, illegal, maneuvers to get his way, but he has a lot of secrets that are still currently being kept under wraps--and if the truth about those crimes comes to light he'll be ruined.

Two of his bigger crimes were ones which actually directly impacted Will's life, as Clyde was the one behind EJ's murder, and also ordered Sonny's stabbing. Now, he's ordered a hit again on the guy at the center of the investigation which dragged Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) into some trouble. Having these things exposed in an article would destroy everything he has built--and put his son into possible danger as well.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
