Vonn, who's known for her athletic abilities in the snow, previously told CBS Minnesota that she always had the motivation to put herself out there although she doesn't really know where it came from.

"I've always been a pretty determined person, and I've always been oddly motivated, and I was always the first one on the hill and the last one off," she revealed. "I don't really know why, I just always loved it."

Vonn then talked about how there are young girls who can lack confidence in big challenges and they should put their talent to good use.

"A lot of times, girls at a young age...they're not really aware of their capabilities and they're not encouraged in the right way, you know, those talents can go to waste," the skier said. "They shouldn't be struggling with self-confidence. They should believe in themselves."
