The Kylie Jenner lip challenge has been one of the biggest trends this past week and reality star Audrina Patridge has something to say about it.

This lip challenge that's been going viral has people going out of their way to get Jenner's full lips on their faces. It's apparently gotten to the point where obsessed fans are getting physically hurt with bruises and bleeding.

Patridge took to Twitter on Monday to say what she thinks about this bizarre trend; in her view, she finds it pretty disgusting.

"Okay... The #kyliejennerlipchallenge is grossing me out....Be careful people!!" the former Hills star wrote.

There are a lot of health dangers that come with trying out this challenge. Nurse Practitioner Christina Inman pointed out the results that can come with trying to make fuller lips with shot glasses.

"Temporarily you're getting swelling, that's the look that they are trying to achieve," Inman said, posted on WILX. "You are also getting micro-damage to the vessels."

While some of the bruising along with other side effects can go away after participating in the lip swelling, there are a few results that can be permanent.

"Scarring and the lip staining are the biggest things," Inman said. "And if you do have larger vessels that you rupture the bleeding and trauma can cause indentation in the lips as well."

The nurse practitioner advised the best way to keep away from doing this challenge is to see photos of the frightening results.
