As previously reported, football stars like Brandon Spikes, Marcus Vick and Chris McCain have dished on the verdict in the case and now Hernandez's former college coach is speaking out.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer recently opened up about Hernandez's murder trial and he says that he warned Patriots coach Bill Belichick about Hernandez's background and behavior.

"It's just horrible all the way around," Meyer said about Hernandez's recent murder trial. "I watched highlights of it ... just horrible."

During his interview with the Dan Patrick Show, Meyer pointed out that during his college career at the University of Florida, the former Patriots player failed a drug test once and he was treated the same as any other player but the former college coach also said that Hernandez was a "different guy."

"(Hernandez) was a guy that a lot of people were asking about first-round or second-round talent," Meyer said. "Coach Belichick is a friend of mine and of course I was very honest and I said you just need to keep an eye on him. Unfortunately, you can't lock them up and keep them away from their homeboys ... I guess that's what happened."

Since his conviction, Hernandez was placed on suicide watch and transferred to the maximum-security Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley.

Lloyd's mother, Ursula Ward, has since filed a wrongful death suit against her son's murder and according to her attorney, unlike the first trial, Hernandez will not be able to hide behind his Fifth Amendment rights and they are planning to call him to the stand.
