President Obama took time out of his busy schedule to give rapper Jay-Z some parenting advice.

While making a stop at Cleveland radio station Z107.9 last week, Barack Obama talked about his interaction with high profile couple, Beyonce and Jay-Z.

The music industry power couple and the first family have gotten close during Obama's first term.

"I've gotten to know these guys over the first several years," said the President. "They're good people. Beyonce could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls. So they're good friends. We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends."

President Obama said he knows what Jay-Z is going through father to father and that family should be the most important thing in his life. The 51-year old leader of the free world is the father of two girls: Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11.

Obama added, "I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyoncé out [with the baby], and not leaving it all with Beyonce; and the mother-in-law."

The 44-year old rap icon is the father of the 9-month old Blue Ivy Carter with wife Beyonce.

Jay-Z and Beyonce have been in full support of the President. In September, the couple co-hosted a fundraiser in New York City in support of President Obama's re-election. The event raised $4 million for the President's campaign.

According to Yahoo news, Jay-Z appeared in a political advertisement for the President. The message the rapper conveys reminds the public that Obama is an achiever for all African-Americans:

"For so long, there was a voice that was silenced out there as far as exercising the right to vote. I think it was a voice that was silenced because people had lost hope. They didn't believe that their voice mattered or counted. Now people are exercising their right, and you're starting to see the power of our vote. He made it mean something for the first time, for a lot of people."
