Zelena (guest star Rebecca Mader) could be faking her pregnancy on ABC's Once Upon a Time, but one of the show's creators suggested that this would be too cheap of a move.

Zelena is apparently pregnant with Robin Hood's (Sean Maguire) baby, after the wicked villain impersonated Marian. With Regina (Lana Parrilla) devastated, there is some question of whether Zelena would go to such an extreme as having a child in order to ruin Regina's happiness.

Once Upon a Time co-creator Edward Kitsis spoke to Entertainment Weekly this week about Zelena and if she is actually faking her pregnancy.

"She could be [faking this]. We've seen her talent with magic," Kitsis said. "But that seems to be very easy. I would hate to end the show on information like that just to buy it back and say, 'Just kidding!' That would seem not fair."

Meanwhile, the next episode of Once Upon a Time will delve into Regina's backstory, especially her relationship with her mother, Cora (Barbara Hershey).

"Emma [Jennifer Morrison] returns to Storybrooke to reunite Lily [Agnes Bruckner] with Maleficent [Kristin Bauer van Straten] while Regina and Robin struggle to cope with the implications of Zelena's pregnancy." the synopsis reads. "In a Fairy Tale Land flashback, Cora returns from Wonderland to beg Regina's forgiveness on the anniversary of Daniel's murder. Cora vows to help her daughter find true love, but Regina remains suspicious of her mother's intentions."

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
