Season 8 has narrowed the field to six contestants, each of which was tasked with performing two songs on Monday night - one that they picked and one that was selected by their coaches. The pressure was on as each performer tried to garner voters' favor in an attempt to escape Tuesday's Bottom Two.

Team Christina Aguilera's India Carney took the stage first. A member of the Bottom Three last week, Carney's was in a precarious position as she performed John Legend and Common's Glory (contestant's choice) and Sam Smith's Lay Me Down (coach's choice). Team Xtina's Kimberly Nicole than sang Tom Petty's Free Fallin' (contestant's choice) and Michael Jackson's Dirty Diana (coach's choice).

Coach Pharrell Williams' also had two hopefuls in the Top 6, Koryn Hawthorne and Sawyer Fredericks. The latter gave his rendition of Shine On (contestant's choice) and Al Green's Take Me to the River (coach's choice) while the former tried her hand at REM's Everybody Hurts (contestants choice) and Dream On (coach's choice).

Normally The Voice's main powerhouses, Team Adam Levine and Team Blake Shelton were each left with only one contestant in the Top 6. For Levine, Joshua Davis performed The Beatles In My Life (contestants choice) and U2's Desire (coach's choice) before Meghan Linsey took on Amazing Grace (contestant's choice) and James Taylor's Steamroller Blues (coach's choice).
