Parks has come under fire for not taking Ayden, 5, and Dylan, 19 months to see Nida while he is in federal prison in Lexington, Ky. He pleaded guilty to several counts of fraud including identity theft. Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Parks added, “It is overwhelming to be publicly judged and second guessed for the choices I make for my children by people who have not displayed any genuine concern for me or the well-being of my children. But we are survivors and I am doing everything possible to ensure my sons' well-being.”

She also confirmed that she and Nida are still married. During the reunion of The Real Housewives of Atlanta she said contrary to reports she hasn’t filed for divorce.

“My marital status has not changed,” she said.

They have been married for more than six years.
