Britney Spears may have just suffered an embarrassing injury, but that's not going to deter the pop star from returning to her Las Vegas residency.

In fact, during a new interview, the singer spoke of her "embarrassing" on-stage moment. and announced she will be performing shows at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino for three additional months.

"I actually wasn't doing anything that hard," Spears told DeGeneres, according to an Us Weekly report on Tuesday. "I was just kind of bopping around, and I've done like eight years worth of shows, plenty of shows, and I've never actually fell onstage, so it was really kind of embarrassing."

During her April 29 performance, Spears reportedly lost her footing mid-way through her set, which led to the side-lining injury. Although she attempted to go on, she suffered torn ligaments, which have forced her to take a break.

"I fell down and then I got up and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going. I tore some ligaments," she added.

For the next couple of weeks, Spears is expected to take time off as she heals from her scary injury, but once she's better, she'll be back full-steam after adding an extra three months to her residency.

"The show must go on. [I'm extending the residency] for three months," she announced.
