The undead will continue to roam Seattle next year when the Rob Thomas drama returns for a second season. The CW handed down the renewal on Wednesday, according to Deadline, just hours after one of the series' most shocking episodes to date.

Luckily for viewers, the series will have plenty of time to play out these new twists.

All iZombie roads lead back to Blaine, the low level drug dealer who managed to capitalize on a deadly (undeadly?) combination of Max Rager and Utopium, and his now booming brain business. With a cop nicely nestled in his pocket and a easily renewable source of clients, Seattle's zombie kingpin seems unstoppable.

Liv, Clive, Ravi, and Major are on the case however, but their own problems are quickly multiplying. Lowell is helping to fund Blaine's new enterprise, Ravi's rats are ticking time bombs for the zombie apocalypse, and Major is busy diving headlong into a case which has supernatural implications he can't even imagine.
