Trixie Mattel from RuPaul's Drag Race had herself a lucky and unlucky break this season.

'RuPaul' Winner Bianca Del Rio Reveals 'Great Thing' About The Season 7 Queens

On Wednesday, Advocate posted an interview with the contestant who was eliminated for the second time this competition. She was removed from the race weeks ago, but was brought back- only to be removed again. Some may not have been so surprised about this since fans could have made their peace with her leaving the first time. Mattel, on the other hand, seemed to have high hopes for herself that she would go further in the race.

"Honestly, what else could I have done?" she said. "In the moment of filming, I really did receive the best critiques for my dancing and my runway. So I was confident the whole time. I actually thought I would win the challenge based on critiques, until suddenly we were conveniently being judged as pairs."

Katya Reveals Why She Could Win 'RuPaul' Season 7

When the queen had to lip-sync against Ginger Minj to find out who was going home, Mattel seemed to accept that it was her time to exit.

"After having to suddenly lip-sync after delivering a well-constructed runway and shining performance, I was way over it," Mattel said. "I just wasn't who they wanted."

The former contestant also revealed which queen she wants to win this race: "Katya forever!"

The top five remaining queens are Violet Chachki, Kennedy Davenport, Katya, Ginger Minj and Pearl.

RuPaul's Drag Race airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Logo TV.
