Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough recently shared a slew of kind words about his celebrity partner Nastia Liukin.

Hough is still sitting on the sidelines on Dancing With the Stars due to multiple injuries but he is gradually getting better. Fellow pro Sasha Farber has filled in for Hough but Hough has still been involved in choreographing routines and allowing himself to be in them as well.

After Liukin's latest dance, Hough took to Instagram and praised the Olympian and her tenacity.

"This little thang right here KILLED it tonight in both dances !!!" Hough wrote, alongside a photo of the two of them. "We had a blast this entire week, probably my favorite week bonding with Nastia. Production chose to go with a moment that lasted 2 seconds at the end of an 8 hour rehearsal, rather than a full week of joy, love and non stop laughter for our package. For some reason they weren't interested in showing that stuff."

Hough was referring to a moment in the video package that gave Liukin a negative edit. However, he made up for that negativity by sharing multiple compliments about her.

 "Nastia has been incredibly gracious , humble , hardworking , kind , loving , thoughtful , resilient , adaptive , funny and over all a beautiful human being," he continued in the post. "I'm all for positivity, love and good energy and so is Nastia. I really hope you guys could see the reality of this couple. Love you all . And have a great night x @nastialiukin #dwts."

Now, Liukin is one of the final four celebrities competing for the Mirrorball trophy. It remains to be seen if Hough will be able to return to full capacity for the final weeks of competition.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
