Agents of SHIELD's FitzSimmons will close out season 2 with a fairly important conversation.

The science wonder wins will have their hands full managing Cal Johnson during "SOS" and "SOS: Part 2," but Entertainment Weekly promises SHIELD's resident geniuses will take a moment to "have a talk."

Unfortunately, Agents of SHIELD's EP's weren't particularly forthcoming with further details. Considering how terribly Fitz (Iain DeCaestecker) and Simmons' (Elizabeth Henstridge) last season finale convo went, consider us officially concerned.

Despite the pair's muddled feelings for each other, it seems unlikely that they will spend the May 12 episode broaching the topic of romance once more. Instead, there is a good chance that Fitz may take Simmons to task for her recent forays to the dark side.

Executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen told Zap2It that the biochem genius' dangerous behavior will come to at least one agent's attention during the season finale.

That doesn't mean our perky, caring Simmons is gone for good, however.

"I think you'll see a little bit more the side of Simmons that you saw when you first met her," Whedon explained, according to Zap2It. "But I also think that, yes, she's taking a hard line."
