The cast of Downton Abbey has come up with their own theories on how they think their characters should depart from the series.

'Downton Abbey's' Final Moments Will Be 'Very Exciting?'

On Wednesday, PBS released a video with the actors who dished on some plausible endings that could be suitable for them. Hugh Bonneville (Robert, Earl of Grantham) mentioned that he would love it if his character took off with Cora in one of the most epic ways possible.

"I'd like to see Robert and Cora, her with sunglasses and a head scarf with an open top car, and they say, 'Bye, kids,' and they stick their luggage into the back of an open top car and speed off and they head off to the riviera to have fun," Bonneville said. "And stuff the estates, stuff the children, and tuff all their problems."

'Downton Abbey' Star Says It's 'The Right Time' To End Series

Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore) gave an idea on what would happen if her character left the house. She may or may not find a love interest, but either way, the actress is hoping she'll find nice folks to be around.

"If she had to leave the house- say she retired- I'd like to see her with some good people around her because otherwise, there could be a very lonely existence and I'd hate that for her. That shouldn't happen to her," Nicol said. "So it doesn't have to be a love interest, she needs to be with some good people who love and respect her."
