Nashville had quite an intriguing season finale with questions on too many things.

Actor Reveals An 'Unfortunate Aspect' About Deacon On 'Nashville'

The theories for next season involve what's next for Juliette and Avery's relationship. Also, where does Will go from here now that he's been outed as a gay man? And of course- did someone just die?

On Wednesday, TV Line shared an interview with showrunner Dee Johnson who gave some teases for what's going to take place in the Season 4 premiere since someone flatlined at the hospital. But was it Deacon who will be resting in peace? Or will it be Beverly?

'Nashville' Gets Renewed For A Fourth Season

While some are assuming that there's no way Deacon would be killed off the show, there is a possibility that he could've been the one to flatline...however though, that does not mean that he's going to stay dead.

"Just for the record, a flatline doesn't necessarily mean somebody doesn't get resuscitated," Johnson pointed out.

Based on this piece of information, perhaps, one of the two patients will be brought back to life. It was also mentioned that if Beverly doesn't survive, there's a good chance that Deacon might feel some suvivor's guilt.

"If the scenario you're talking about came to pass, one would certainly have some issues as a result of it," the showrunner said. "If anybody was going to donate something and they died on the table, certainly that would be pretty hard to live with."

Nashville Season 4 is expected to premiere this fall on ABC.
