Knight, who became a worldwide hero after she was abducted and held captive for more than a decade with two other girls, met a producer earlier this year who would help make her songs official, according to FOX 8 on Monday. See the video here.

"I said, 'Let me go home and get my poems, and we'll put a song together,'" Knight said when this offer was brought up. "And out of nowhere I started writing when he was picking out a melody."

The site pointed out that the woman is hoping that her song will become an inspiration to other people since it's about how to build strength in times of darkness.

The video shows Knight working in the studio like a professional singer as she creates a hit that is bound to bring tears to the public's eye.

Knight was kidnapped by Ariel Castro in a suburban house and chained up in a room with Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus. While the girls were captured at different times, they were trapped for approximately ten years before they found their freedom. The girls managed to escape where Castro was taken to prison only to commit suicide by hanging himself.

This story became a global hit and even turned into a Lifetime film called Cleveland Abduction.
