Willis and Chmerkovskiy won the Mirrorball trophy Tuesday night during the live finale of Dancing With the Stars. They beat fellow competitors Riker Lynch & Allison Holker and Noah Galloway & Sharna Burgess.

After the show, Willis spoke with People and thanked her mother Demi Moore and all of those who supported her during the three-month endeavor.

"To have such incredible support, especially from my mom who rallied everyone, I feel so grateful," Willis said. "It means so much."

"And the fans who just made an account to say something nice," Chmerkovskiy added. "Thank you to them."

Willis and Chmerkovskiy earned extra points from the judges during finale night after performing their 24-hour dance fusion. This was ultimately the last time the pair danced together on the show and they came out on top, scoring a 40 out of 40 from the judges.

"After three months of dancing every day, my favorite thing is getting to dance with Val," Willis admitted. "That was the last time on this stage that I got to do that, so I wanted to make it the best I possibly could."

This is a huge deal for both Willis and Chmerkovskiy. Since joining the show in season 13, this is the first time Chmerkovskiy has won the Mirrorball trophy.

Dancing With the Stars will return in the fall for season 21 in its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot on ABC.
