Supernatural's Dean Winchester wants to die.

'Supernatural' Season 10 Spoilers: Sam Goes Further Than Ever To Save Dean, EP Teases Finale Consequences

The beleaguered hunter will call on Death (Julian Richings) himself during the season 10 finale in an effort to stop his heart and, hopefully, the Mark.

"I want you to kill me," Dean (Jensen Ackles) says to the Horseman in a new promo (see video below).

Unfortunately for the elder Winchester, a deal this drastic will come with some major caveats. It is unknown exactly what Death will want in return for turning Dean to worm food, but the macabre character will soon pull out his infamous scythe.

It is also unknown what Dean hopes to achieve from this little experiment. Does he want the big daddy reaper to kill him without causing the Mark to revive him with a pair of black eyes, or does he want to die full stop? The Dean that appeared in "The Prisoner" was not the moral hunter fans have come to know and love, and it remains to be seen if this version of Dean actually wants to be saved. The words "I like the disease" will be forever seared into our minds, after all.

"Everybody's expecting Sam (Jared Padalecki) to save the day, but I would say that, in true Supernatural fashion, we give them what they want in a way that they're not going to expect it," Ackles teased, according to People. "Will Dean be saved? Probably. I would imagine. Or, at least, somewhere down the line he'll be saved. But it won't be in the way that people are expecting it to be."
