The writing team of Arrow is hard at work on the plot of season 4 and showrunner Marc Guggenheim teased the future of the CW series in a new promo clip, titled 'Pull Forward.'

'Arrow Is Done,' Stephen Amell Dishes About Season 4 Of The CW Series

The video mostly features flashbacks from season 3 of the series, of Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) driving by a beautiful coastline, Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom's (Brandon Routh) whole eneterprise being bombed,

"We are already hard at work planning out the story arcs for season 4," Guggenheim says. "You want to find out how team Arrow's going to continue to save the city now that the Arrow has retired? Season 4 holds all the answers."

In another recent interview, Guggenheim dished about season 4 of Arrow. Speaking to io9,  the showrunner explained that the next chapter will be less serious.

"It will take a lighter tone. That's pretty much the only thing I say without spoiling it," he said. "We've been working for about a month now in the writers' room, talking about season 4, and I think that one thing we all collectively understood was season 3 beginning with Sara's death, because it's the death of a major character on the show, it set a tone for the remainder of the season."

While talking about the tone of the show being dark, and how that was a preference and personal predilection of his, Guggenheim added that he was "not the least bit apologetic for that tone."

"I happen to like dark and I like the fact that Arrow is a pretty dark show particularly for a network show. That said, every year you want to mix things up and there was sort of a collective desire on all of our parts to try to inject a little bit more lightness into the show, a little bit more humor. It's not going to radically change. The show's still going to be the show but in terms of tone we're coming off a very very hard season for all of our characters. We wanted to try to mix it up a little bit."

The announcement of Arrow's renewal for a fourth season was made earlier this month.

The finale of season 3, entitled 'My Name is Oliver Queen,' of Arrow aired on May 13 on The CW.
