A new Batman vs. Superman comic is coming ahead of the 2016 movie of the same name!

Henry Cavill Reveals How 'Batman vs Superman' Fits In With 'Man Of Steel'

New comic Batman/Superman #21 is headed to stores in June, according to a new report by ComicBook.com. The comic reportedly features the two iconic superheroes going toe to toe but there is a twist. Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon is apparently stepping into the batsuit to act as new Batman in the comic.

Batman/Superman #21 will be released in stores on Wednesday, June 10.

In the mean time, anticipation for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is riding high. The blockbuster that stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and more, is still being kept pretty secret. Other than the brief teaser trailer, only cast information has been revealed at this time, with director Zack Snyder only giving out tiny bits of information at a time.

The film will bring back a trio of characters from 2013's Man of Steel as well, including Amy Adams returning to her role as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. Actors who are new to the film franchise include Jesse Eisenberg, who will play iconic Superman villain Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons, who is playing Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
