At the recently held MCM Comic Con in London, Willa Holland, who plays Thea in Arrow, dished about the possibility of Harley Quinn returning for season 4.

'Arrow Is Done,' Stephen Amell Dishes About Season 4 Of The CW Series

There had been a ton of rumors prior to the premiere of season 3 that Quinn might be hitting back, but the Batman villain was nowhere to be found in the chapter. Fans are still rooting for the villain to make a comeback in season 4, but it seems highly unlikely if one were to trust Holland's word. While the showrunners really wanted to feature the character, disapproval from DC's top brass nipped the plans in bud. Spoiler TV reported from the event in London and got Holland's response on the subject.

"We had big plans for Harley. But, I guess something came down from DC execs that told us to shut it down," she said. "I mean we had that tease with the pigtails and the ARGUS outfit but, we'll never see it. We would love to Harley in Arrow but it will never happen."

Diggle To Wear A Mask, Become Green Lantern In Season 4?

In January, speaking toTVLine, Andrew Kresiberg, the executive producer of the show spoke about the return of the Suicide Squad in season 3.

"We're definitely going to bring back the Suicide Squad," Kreisberg had said.

In June last year, Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen, had teased about the future of Harley Quinn, via a Facebook interaction with fans.

"It was absolutely Harley Quinn. Hope she is back -- AND OUT OF HER CELL -- Season 3," he wrote.

The announcement of Arrow's renewal for a fourth season was made earlier this month.

The finale of season 3, entitled 'My Name is Oliver Queen,' of Arrow aired on May 13 on The CW.
