It looks as though fans of the hit TLC show 19 Kids & Counting are divided when it comes to Josh Duggar and his sexual molestation case, in which he admits to having inappropriately touching five young girls when he was a teenager. Many fans are appalled that the Duggar family still has supporters as more details about the alleged abuse come out.

According to Us Weekly on Monday, many commenters voiced their concern while questioning the celebrity family's future in the entertainment world.

One commenter wrote, "This is definitely a divisive issue. It's sad and surprising how many people support what Josh Duggar and his parents did. You'd think people would draw the line at children being abused," while another said, "Josh may also be a victim OR could be complete lack of education OR learned behavior OR all of the above. In any case, sick all around for this deranged family."

Another concerned fan wrote, "It really shouldn't be divisive. How anyone can defend or justify child abuse, sexual or otherwise, is beyond me. The parents are just as guilty and failed all their children, including Josh. Somehow, I suspect the story doesn't end here."

Michael Starr of the New York Post criticized TLC for exploiting "freak-and-sex obsessed" shows such as Toddlers and Tiaras, Honey Boo Boo, and 19 Kids & Counting.

Starr wrote, "You can repeat all you want, TLC, about how these shows are 'empowering' and spotlight people who otherwise would fly below society's radar. No one believes that. You exploited them. Do me a favor, TLC. Please don't say you never saw this coming. You play with fire, you're gonna get burned. Badly."
