In a recently revealed preview for season 3 of Ray Donovan, the cast members of the show weigh in on where things are headed for the main characters of the Showtime series.

Hank Azaria's Ed Returning For Season 3?

Schreiber, who plays the titular character, recaps the last season by stating that Ray was pushed to the edge and that going forward Ray will be something of a lone warrior. "Season 3 Ray finds himself on his own, having to rebuild his empire," he says. This time Ray's going to take things up a notch with his clientele by working for Andrew Finney, played by guest star Ian McShane. "This season we're not dealing with the guys who run the studios, we are dealing with the guys who own the studios," he adds.

Andrew's daughter Paige is being played by Katie Holmes, who will have a pivotal role in switching things up for Ray. The Hollywood fixer will be drawn to the Finney family for their power and money, some of which he hopes will rub off on him. "By acquiring power Ray's hoping to change the situation for himself and for his family," Schreiber says.

Season 3 Of Ray Donovan To Focus On Paige's Family?

Interestingly Mickey (Jon Voight) might keep out of Ray's hair for a while in this chapter, but he will be up to no good.

"In this season Mickey and Ray, both go off into separate worlds, both dangerous worlds," Voight says. "Whenever things get bad, they could always get worse, Mickey could show up."

n this chapter Mickey will be trying to start a new business and will get into "dealings with nefarious people who are dangerous and so everybody has to suffer for it."

Season 3 of Ray Donovan will premiere on July 12 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
