A lot of things have been said about former NFL star Aaron Hernandez since allegations have been made about his murdering tendencies and other criminal activities.

Perjury Charge Against Aaron Hernandez's Fiancée Gets Dropped

The 25-year-old was found guilty of first-degree murder in the Odin Lloyd case last month and has other impending charges against him.

He's currently serving a lifetime sentence for his conviction in the Lloyd case and apparently is using his charismatic personality to get his way even from behind bars.

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson spoke with Boston on Friday about the former New England Patriots tight end.

"When he was with us, we had to handpick the officers we wanted to be around him, because he's very manipulative," Hodgson revealed, adding, "He has a lot of charm and uses that to get what he wants and position himself with others."

The convicted murderer recently was involved in a "two-on-one" fight from behind bars, which ABC News reported on last Wednesday.

A prison official revealed Hernandez "was part of the two" while another source dished that the fight appeared to be "gang related."

Hodgson believes Hernandez is probably doing well socially at the MCI-Shirley Souza-Baronowski Correctional Facility given the latest happenings inside there.

"Knowing he's in prison now for life, it shouldn't surprise anybody that he will be trying to create a network of people in there, and establish his own sort of societal group," Hodgson said.
